In Genesis 15 we read of Abraham driving the vultures away. Abram was cutting covenant. But between the covenant and the promise being fulfilled the vultures came. He, Abram had to chase the vultures away.
Genesis 15. – Then He said to him, “I am the Lord, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it.” And he said, “Lord God, how shall I know that I will inherit it?” So He said to him, “Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” Then he brought all these to Him and cut them in two, down the middle, and placed each piece opposite the other; but he did not cut the birds in two. And when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away.
You know on journey back in Botswana we came across a dead cow. The cow was about to be devoured by about 20 vultures. As soon as we stopped the car and I got out the vultures took off. I was reminded about this in the above passage where Abram was cutting covenant. Between the covenant and the promise being fulfilled the vultures came. He, Abram had to chase the vultures away.
You know God gives us promises, agreements even prophetic words. The devil then comes to try to steal the word, the promise, the agreement. We have to then chase the vultures away. We have to say “you know what God has promised me my family will be saved so devil get off the promise now.” “God You have promised me health and healing so devil get off my body right now.” Don’t let the vultures steal Gods Word, Gods promise for you and your family. Chase the vultures away.
Prayer : Father thankyou for the promises that You have given for me and my family.
I choose to chase off doubt, fear, worry and all attempts of the devil to steal them from me right now in Jesus name Amen.
